In addition to LCC’s Academic Advisors, students in the Music Program are encouraged to speak with Program Faculty Chair Dr. Jonathan Ten Brink (Dr. J, tenbrinj@star.lcc.edu) about what classes should be taken. Please take note–first semester students in all Music degrees except the Music Technology CC need to enroll in Music Lessons (MUSC 157), a performing Ensemble, Rudiments of Music (MUSC 168), Studio Class (MUSC 109) and Music Technology I (MUSC 197). That still leaves room for a Gen Ed class or two (if you test out of Rudiments). Program approval is necessary to register for lessons, so talk to Dr. J in advance.
